Retaining walls come in many shapes, colors and sizes. And they serve many purposes- from establishing a border, to being used as flower beds, or providing a literal structural wall to hold back earth or providing a foundation upon which to build in the future.
Retaining wall blocks are appealing both stylistically (coming in a number of sizes and finished colors), but they also have the benefit of technology being baked right into them. As the blocks are stacked together to build the wall, they interlock together in a way that makes the best wall possible when it comes to holding back the pressure of earth displaced against it. Drainage pipe (or “tile”) can easily and effectively be put in behind the wall too as it grows. And the consistent manner in which the blocks are manufactured allows the building process to go a lot faster, which decreases cost of installation.
